Circular, the centre painted after H.A. Adams with a classical allegory of love between a shepherd and a maiden on a hillside, within a gilt band, the white ground outer border with a frieze of gilt rosettes within roundels and a gilt rim, inscribed on the reverse 'Les deux amis', with remnants of paper label inscribed 'Museum [...]' apparently for Anichkov Palace, indistinctly incised under base
