Each shaped circular, one depicting a stag in a river, another with a huntsman shooting a duck, the third with a stag in a clearing, each scene with ochre scroll border, the green trellis and gilt scroll rims with flowers at intervals, marked under bases with underglaze green factory mark

The plates in the present lot are replacements made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory during the period of Alexander II for the original Meissen service commissioned by Empress Catherine II for the Oranienbaum hunting lodge.
