A Cut-Glass Decanter and Porcelain Cup and Saucer from His Majesty's Own Service in the Cottage Palace
The decanter by the Imperial Glass Factory, St Petersburg, 19th Century; the cup and saucer by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, period of Nicholas II, dated 1900 and 1904 respectively
The decanter of bulbous form, the lower section cut with diamonds, the central section cut with leaves and centering an enamel plaque with the arms of Alexandria and the Russian motto 'For Faith Tsar and Fatherland', with stepped neck, and stopper, apparently unmarked; the cup and saucer with conforming decoration and gilt rims, marked under bases with green overglaze factory mark
