A Pair of Gilt-Bronze Mounted Porcelain Three-Branch Appliqués
By the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, period of Nicholas I, the mounts third quarter 19th Century
Each with a shaped naturalistic backplate centred by two putti and decorated with upswept fruiting foliage and flowerheads, issuing three entwined scrolled branches with shaped pierced drip-pans and scroll-cast nozzles, the reverse of each inscribed in Cyrillic with inventory numbers 'G.D.I. 3933 G.14959' and 'G.D.I. 3933 G.14961', respectively, and each with Gatchina Palace labels inscribed in ink with inventory number '3933'
