maker's mark of Alexandre Lesot de la Panneterie, the stand with maker's mark of Philippe-Jean-Baptiste Huguet, both Paris, 1798-1809
The circular stand with water-leaf and beaded borders, the bouillon on spreading base with strapwork border, the plain body applied with two human masks and engraved with English crest, the handles chased and cast as winged female figures, the cover engraved with ivy frieze, with water-leaf ring handle resting on ribbon knot, marked on base and stand, on foot, body and cover
Stand 20.5 cm. (8 in.) diam., the bouillon 14.5 cm. (5¾ in.) high
