On octagonal guilloche and fluted base resting on eight paw feet, the centre chased with anthemion and scrolling foliage on matted ground, the tubular stem with band of treilliswork supporting oval stand with berry and foliage border and applied cast model of a porcupine, marked on base and stand, the porcupine with French Empire guarantee mark
