maker's mark of Pierre-Benoît Lorillon, the knives, maker's mark of Martin-Guillaume Biennais, Paris, 1809-1819
The spoons and forks with reeded stems, the tops chased with peacock and foliage, with cast coat-of-arms, cornucopiae and mask, the knives with scimitar blades and handles chased with similar coat-of-arms, classical figures, busts and anthemion foliage on matted ground comprising:
- Eighteen spoons
- Eighteen forks
- Eighteen teaspoons
- two serving-spoons
- Eighteen dessert-knives with silver blades
- Eighteen cheese-knives with steel blades
All in fitted brass bound mahogany case signed Biennais, Orfre. rue St. Honoré, No. 283, Au Singe Violet à Paris

The arms are those of Hulin, for Pierre-Augustin (called Auguste) Hullin, created a Count in 1808 and given land in Westphalia and Hanover. He was born in Paris in 1758, and joined the army rising to the rank of divisional General. He died at the Château Marmonzet near Corbeil in 1841.
