Oval, on spreading foot chased with a band of acanthus foliage above with beading and matted ovals, the sides with applied laurel wreath festoons and ribbon-tied wreath cartouches, with reeded handles, the raised cover with applied ribbon-tied laurel festoons and with finial formed as two entwined dolphins on wave ornament, engraved beneath with initials MS beneath a coronet, marked on base and cover
