FROM THE "BUFF AND GOLD" SECOND LINCOLN STATE DINNER SERVICE

White porcelain with enamel and gilt decoration applied by hand, with wide band of buff. 3 3/8 inches in height. In fine condition. A simply decorated custard cop and cover from the Lincoln's second, less ornate "State Dinner, Dessert and Coffee Service," ordered by Mary Lincoln from a Philadelphia importer and delivered just three months before the assassination of President Lincoln.
