2 volumes, 8o (234 x 150 mm). 2 engraved titles and 44 engraved aquatint plates (intermittent spotting). Contemporary vellum, covers with Greek key roll border on a blue wash background enclosing a pink wash border and a gilt floral roll border, smooth spines gilt-lettered on a blue wash background and gilt-stamped with various small tools, gilt edges concealing fore-edge paintings of A DUTCH FLOWER MARKET and A RIVER SCENE (minor loss of blue wash); modern half morocco slipcases. Provenance: Daniel Beaumont (bookplate; signature in ink dated "October 1790"); Estelle Doheny (bookplate; her sale Christie's New York, 17 October 1988, lot 1316).

Dibdin praised was the fact that he always had 'a nice feeling and acurate perception of what was tasteful.'
