4o (169 x 126 mm). (Closely trimmed cropping title and some catchwords and signature marks). 19th-century red morocco, edges gilt, by Bedford (lightly rubbed). Provenance: ink note on flyleaf: "This was Dr. Bliss's copy, & was afterwards in W. Halliwell's hands. Heber had no perfect copy of the tract."; William Horation Crawford, Lakelands, Cork (bookplate); William Augustus White (1843-1927), collector of Shakespeare, Blake, the Elizabethans and Romantics (pencil signature on flyleaf; his Catalogue of Early English Books (1926) p.84).
STC's second edition, with text variants as listed. Published the same year as the first. VERY RARE: according to American Book Prices Current, no copies of either the first or second editions have appeared at auction in at least thirty years. STC 3704.5.
