Red crushed levant morocco, covers with double gilt fillet surrounding gilt vignettes encircled by a double gilt fillet border of Alice and The Cheshire Cat on Alice, and the Red Queen and the Red King on Looking-Glass, spines gilt in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, gilt-lettered in 2, the others with gilt vignettes of the Queen, the King, the Cat, Humpty Dumpty, the Mad Hatter and the Rabbit, turn-ons gilt with a border comprised of hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades, edges gilt, stamp-signed by binder, Sangorski & Sutcliffe.
