maker's mark of Friedrich I Schwestermüller, Augsburg, circa 1685
On domed crimped foot repoussé and chased with scrolling foliage, the ivory sleave carved in high relief with a boar hunt, with plain upper rim and scroll handle, the cover with flat crimped border and domed centre repoussé and chased with flowers and foliage and with bifurcated scroll thumbpiece and later rearing horse finial, marked on foot, rim and cover
