A PAIR OF PARTHIAN GOLD AND GLASS EARRINGS

Each with a hinged strap hoop, also hinged on the underside to the back of an elaborate pendant in the form of a three-handled amphora, granulation along the lengths of the handles, a thin horizontal rectangular bezel above framed by granulation and set with glass, the conical vessel mouth with granulated pyramids, the vessel body embellished with granulation, including pyramids, arches and lines, a band of filigree ropes above six small loops, each supporting a larger ring with a pomegranate-shaped pendant, a small loop at the base of the vessel, perhaps originally also supporting a pendant; with modern gold earwires
