FIRST EDITION of Marey's "Experimental physiology" a work containing numerous reports on research conducted in the Paris laboratory of pathologic physiology of the Collège de France in Paris, which Marey founded. Marey uses graphical methods and cinematography in his research. The laboratory reports on locomotion studies conducted in the 1870s. "His concern with the greatest possible accurarcy in graphical records was matched by his concern for simplifying instruments so that they could be easily used by clinical diagnostician" (DSB). (4)
