SUTNAR, Ladislav, designer (1897-1976). A group of 75 industrial catalogues designed by SUTNAR, v.p., 1940s and 1950s. Each illustrated with photographs, diagrams and charts and promoting various industrial products, including heavy sheet steel fabricators, lubrication equipment, controlled lighting, lumbering products, design for die casting, synchronus motors, pre-cast facing slabs, general lighting, asphalt tile, heavy wire mesh products, air conditioning equipment, etc.

A VERY FINE COLLECTION OF WORKS DESIGNED BY LADISLAV SUTNAR. Sutnar was a pioneer of information design and information architecture, and his work on industrial catalogues are considered milestones in graphic design history. Many of these catalogues exemplify his advanced techniques of visualization that were included in his catalogue design publications Catalog Design, Catalog Design Progress and Designing Information.
