An example of Tavarone's early work, while he was working in Spain with Luca Cambiaso and still profoundly under the influence of that master's draughtsmanship. It already displays the elongation of the figures which would become a feature of his mature style.

We are grateful to Jonathan Bober for endorsing the attribution to Tavarone on the basis of a photograph.
