The 7 in. wide rectangular dial with winged cherub mask spandrels to chapter ring with half hour and half quarter hour markrs, engraved and matted centre with false pendulum aperture, ringed winding holes and date square, scroll and thistle engraving to upper section, cut steel hands, movement with six ringed pillars, convereted anchor escapement, calibrated outside countwheel strike on bell, engraved border to scroll and thistle engraved back plate signed 'Charles Gretton/LONDON'; pendulum
