For a short period of time from the early 1920s until 1928, the major American studios such as Paramount and Metro-Goldwyn publicised their films in France with American sized posters. During this period, some French posters were printed in U.S. three-sheet and six-sheet sizes, such as this French poster for the 1921 production of The Sheik which is similar in format to the standard U.S. six-sheet.
