Bombé oval and on four feet cast as foliage, with branch and leaf handles, the detachable cover with a finial cast as an artichoke and branch, the body engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, the cover engraved twice with a crest, marked under handles, inside handle on liner and handle

The arms are those of Taylor of Lancaster and London.
