Maker's mark HD, Vienna, circa 1900, also struck with retailer's mark SCHWARZ & STEINER
Each on four bracket feet, the sides pierced and chased with diaperwork, flowers and scrolls, the front with shaped cartouche engraved with names and birth dates, marked on bases and sides

Lot Essay

Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein (1842-1907) married his cousin Henrietta Maria Norberta (1843-1931), the daughter of Aloys II, Prince of Liechtenstein (1796-1858). Together, they had ten children. The tea-glass holders are each engraved with the names and birth dates of the parents Alfred and Henriette, and nine of their children:
