A pair of massive Dutch silver pricket candlesticks
Mark of Johannes Boogaert, Amsterdam, 1666, also struck with later Dutch duty mark
On three scroll feet with putti, supporting the trefoil lower body embossed with feathery scrolls, the sides applied with three putti-heads, the sides with a coat-of-arms and medallions of Christ and Mary, surmounted by a shaped baluster stem chased with laurel wreaths and further putti, the pricket on a circular base with beaded rim, with later drip-pans, some damage and repair, marked on the lower bodies
