A Chinese blue and white bottle vase and a bowl
Kangxi (1662-1722)
The vase modelled with petal-shaped panels painted with a continuous scene of ladies and flower-pots on a terrace, the long flaring neck with sprays of finger-citrus and pomegranate, applied with two biscuit animal-mask ring handles suspending loops, rim polished, crack, small chips; and a bowl moulded to the exterior with a half-openwork keyfret-pattern band, above sprays of peony, prunus, chrysanthemum and lotus, the interior moulded with bulb surrounded by a Antiquities and ladies, polished rim chip
The vase 29.2 cm. high; the bowl 18.7 cm. diam. (2)
