Three small Chinese vases and a Chinese bowl and cover for the Islamic market
18th Century
Comprising an ovoid famille rose vase decorated with a branch of prunus blossom on a café-au-lait ground, 14.5 cm. high; a white-glazed bottle vase, with two scroll handles attached to the flaring neck, 17 cm. high; a soft-paste blue and white ovoid vase painted with two panels enclosing deer, reserved on a cell-pattern ground embellished with butterflies and flowers, hairline rim cracks, 14.5 cm. high; and an 'Islamic Market' bowl and cover decorated with central blue and gilt floral medallions within further bands of lappets, trellis and ayahs from the Qur'an, gilt rubbing, 11.5 cm. diam.
