The case with convex trunk door, bombé plinth base and eleborate hood surmounted by urn finials, the brass dial with sectors for day of week and month, date aperture, painted moonphase, the silvered chapterring
with signature Pieter Hoog above a painted automaton scene with
rocking ships and flanked by the figures of Neptune and Mercury,
eight-day movement with Dutch strike; pendulum, crank key, two weigths
300 cm. high
