A Dutch silver coffee-urn
Mark of Diederik Lodewijk Bennewitz & Zonen, Amsterdam, 1831, also struck with retailer's mark BENNEWITZ
On square base on four pad feet, the partly fluted baluster urn applied with two bearded masks surmounted by leaf-shaped handles, the lower part fitted with a horse's head spigot, with ivory tap, the neck fitted with detachable ring, the detachable cover with horse finial, marked on cover, footrim and base
