A Dutch silver travelling tea-service in a fitted brass-handled mahogany-veneered case
Mark of Theodorus Gerardus Bentveld, Amsterdam, 1825 and 1826, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1853
Each shaped oblong with reeded rim, comprising: a teapot with detachable cover and wood handle and finial; a tea-caddy with hinged cover; a milk-jug; and a sugar-bowl, marked on bases, covers and handles, all in fitted red velvet-lined mahogany case, the cover fitted with a mirror
The teapot 14 cm. high
The silver 1664 gr. (gross)
Together with a Dutch silver tray with glass liner, mark of Jan Stellingwerff, Amsterdam, 1822, 23.2 cm. wide; and a Dutch silver caddy-spoon, marks indistinct
