With Audemars Piguet presentation box, product literature and tag.

Audemars Piguet introduced its Royal Oak Offshore series in 1993, revamping its signature design with a focus on material and technical innovation. These sporty and sophisticated timepieces are designed to withstand the rigours of extreme sports and have water-resistance to a depth of 100 metres. As the proud sponsors of the Swiss Alinghi team, Audemars Piguet has produced timepieces to celebrate their sporting excellence. This present lot sports a carbon fibre case, taking its cue from the Class America boats that are constructed from this lightweight material. Nautical themed details abound with the engraved case back of the Alinghi team at sea, subdial hands shaped like a ship's prow, the Alinghi logo at 3 o' clock and the chronograph aperture counts off the minutes prior to the start of a regatta and gradually becomes red as it approaches the moment when the boats are due to cross the finish line.
