Compare page 50 and 80, Toile de Jouy, Printed Textiles in the Classic French Style, by Mélanie Riffel, Sophie Rouart, L Marc Walter, Thames & Hudson, 2003 for an example of a 'Bonnes Herbes' chintz of almost identical design. See also La Toile de Jouy, L'Objet D'art Series, No 332H, page 23, where a number of Lettres de Commandes are illustrated, several of which are very similar to the present chintz, and which are held by the Musee de la Toile de Jouy in Jouy-en-Josas.
