Lot Essay

Svend Andersen was born in Denmark in 1942. After a four year apprenticeship as a watchmaker, Andersen moved to Geneva in 1963 to follow his passion for watchmaking. Starting his own watch manufacture in 1979, Andersen has designed and manufactured over 100 unique complicated wristwatches including the world's smallest calendar wristwatch certified by the Guinness book of records in 1989.
