Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1970 and its subsequent sale on November 12th of the same year.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 3420 from 1959 until approximately 1983. The watch was produced in two series:

1st: caliber 12 100 AM
2nd: caliber 27 AM 400, like the present watch

Reference 3420 is illustrated in Patek Philippe in America, Reference Guide by J. Reardon, Vol. 1, p. 92.
