"Red berry fruit colored with clove, ginger, and hints of orange on the nose as the wine opens in the glass. On the palate, the wine is soft and round, with no hint of tartness, in spite of the year. According to Richard, "structure is the distribution of weight on the palate from front to finish, and the ballast of Dom Pérignon is evenly distributed". This is because the Chardonnay dominates the perception from the attack through the mid-palate, while the Pinot Noir does so from the mid-palate through the finish." CC, October 2006
