"A pale garnet hue, the '66 Lafite was marvelously scented with a pronounced curranty fruit at first, that was followed in time as the bouquet opened with hints of licorice and cedar. The nose was very pure, delicate, and fine and maintained a very fresh and youthful character. On the palate the texture was silken and subtle, with sufficient body and structure to support their glorious aromatic charge.", CC, September 2009
