Each oval on spreading foot, with gadrooned borders and scroll handles, the body applied on each side with a cartouche, one engraved with a crest, the detachable slightly domed cover with vase-shaped finial, the cover engraved with conforming crest, marked on foot and cover bezel

The crest is that of Simpson of Udoch, Scotland and London. (2)
