shaped oval, with reeded border and two foliate handles, the field engraved with foliate scrolls surrounding initials and a ducal coronet, marked on the reverse and further stamped R & S Garrard Patton St London

The initials are those of Flora, Duchess of Norfolk (1854-1887), wife of Henry, 15th Duke of Norfolk, whom she married on 21 November 1877. She was born Flora Paulyna Hetty Barbara and was the eldest daughter of Charles Frederick Abney-Hastings, 1st Baron Donington and his wife Edith Maud, Countess of Loudon.
