Lot Essay

This beaker commemorates the centenary of the Cavalier Guard (Kavalergardsky) Regiment of Her Imperial Majesty Empress Maria Feodorovna, the most elite regiment of the Imperial Guards. These beakers were purportedly made for a jubilee regimental dinner attended by the Imperial family.
