SANTA CLARA POLISHED BLACKWARE JAR
Of oval shape with a stopper in the form of a scallop shell, the carved designs are polished and in deep relief on the vessel and include four scallop shells at the top and bottom, with a central motif of an Avanyu water serpent. The negative spaces of the carving are in matte. Signed on the bottom, Nancy Youngblood, 1993".
