MARK OF JOHN MORTIMER AND JOHN SAMUEL HUNT, LATER HUNT & ROSKELL, LONDON, 1840
Richly embellished with foliage and flowers and incorporating small angel heads, surmounted by the Royal crown above a drapery-flanked reserve, one side with the cypher of Queen Victoria, the other side engraved with initials VAM, probably for Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise, eldest child of the Queen, born 21 November, 1840 and designated Princess Royal from birth
