Pertuisane d'apparat de la garde de Frédéric August Ier, Electeur de Saxe et Roi de Pologne

Le fer découpé et ajouré en forme d'aigle bicéphale couronnée, au plumage gravé, portant un écu aux armes de Pologne, surmonté d'une lame en pointe ondée à double tranchant, la partie centrale qui conserve une grande partie de sa dorure d'origine prend la forme d'un soleil rayonnant sur lequel est posée une croix, elle même sur deux épées en sautoir, le tout coiffé d'une couronne royale, le fer est vissé dans une douille octogonale, large gland de passementerie vert décoloré, deux attelles, hampe circulaire en bois certainement d'origine.

Early 18th century
The head shaped and pierced as a crowned double-headed eagle incised with plumage and a shield bearing the arms of Poland with a tapering waved double-edged blade above, the central area retaining much original gilding and shaped as a sunburst bearing a Latin cross upon two crossed swords surmonted by a royal crown, the head screwing into the tapering octogonal socket, large faded green tassel, two side-straps, and round wooden staff, propably original.
