Forgée en une seule pièce, avec timbre en forme d'amande terminée en ergot, couvre-nuque intégral et visière en pointes aux bords renfoncés et ourlés d'une torsade, la base du timbre cerclée d'un rang de rivets, la plupart égrémentés de rouelles décoratives en laiton, garde-joues retenus par des charnières ornés de petites perforations circulaires, fixés par une collerette à l'arrière rejoignant le couvre-nuque, bords principaux ourlés d'une torsade.

An Italian burgonet
Late 16th century
Of one piece, with almond-shaped skull rising to a stalk, integral pointed neck-plate and peak each with recessed border and turned roped edge, the base of the skull encircled with a row of lining rivets, most retaining decorative brass washers, and hinged cheek-pieces each pierced with small holes, flanged at the rear to match the neck-plate and with turned roped main edges.
