En acier poli, timbre nervuré, forgé d'une seule pièce avec crée réduite et muni de six perforations allant par paires pour l'attache de la garniture, la base du timbre assortie d'un large couvre-nuque nervuré, percé d'une paire de trous supplémentaires pour la garniture, visière à bec de passereau avec deux fentes de vue, percée de trous de respiration circulaires de chaque côté, les fentes et le bec rehaussés de bandes striées, mézail pivotant sur un même point du timbre et épousant la forme du menton, la visière et le mézail munis d'un fermoir en ressort, une plate à l'avant et à l'arrière formant gorgerin aux bords ourlés en torsade, l'arrière du gorgerin nervuré en suite du timbre et du couvre-nuque et muni de d'autres perforations pour la garniture.

Of bright steel, with one-piece fluted skull with low roped comb and pierced with three pairs of holes for lining-points, the base of the skull fitted with a large fluted neck-plate pierced with a further pair of holes for lining-points, visor of so-called 'sparrow's' beak form with stepped vision-slit and pierced with circular breaths on each side, the vision-slits and beak each with roped band, bevor pivoted at the same points and shaped to the chin, the visor and bevor each secured with a spring-catch, and single gorget-plate to the front and rear each with turned roped edge, the rear gorget-plate fluted en suite with the skull and neck-plate and pierced with a further pair of holes for lining-points.
