The tourbillon was supplied by James Pellaton (1873-1954) who like his father, Albert Pellaton-Favre (1770-1849), was an eminent maker of tourbillons in the nineteenth century.
James Pellaton was a professor at the watchmaking school in Le Locle and also the school's director.
James Pellaton made the smallest tourbillon in 1923 which was only succeeded in size in circa 1950.
Throughout the years, both father and son built several tourbillons for Patek Philippe & Cie.
