Signed French Royal Exchange, London, No. 10018, circa 1860
With highly engraved three quarter plate gilt finished jewelled cylinder movement, bimetallic compensation balance, later added minute repeating with two hammers, the gold cuvette with highly engraved floral decoration and engraved inscription, the silvered dial with applied gilt Roman numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, subsidiary seconds, centred by applied gilt initials and surrounded by an applied gilt floral decoration in high relief, the case with highly engraved floral decorated bezel, reverse, band, pendant and bow, engraved initials to the front, the pendant set with an amethyst and has been transformed at a later date for operating the repeating mechanism, case stamped LC, dial and movement signed
