Lot Essay

The Huaud Brothers were appointed enamel painters to the Elector of Brandenburg in 1686, and were dismissed on 16 August 1700.

We are indebted to Dr. Hans Boeckh, Geneva, for the identification of the Huaud Brothers as the authors of the present enamel.
