A large Chinese celadon dish
Ming dynasty, 15th Century
The heavily potted dish moulded to the centre with a peony spray within a roundel, the ribbed moulded well rising towards an everted rim with slightly raised edge, covered with a soft green glaze continuing over the footrim onto the base with unglazed ring of orange tone, surface scratches
