Pear-shaped with flat shoulder, moulded with six vertical panels each enclosing a galopping horse among cloud scrolls, the neck mounted in silver, with silver cover, glaze flaws, hairline crack

An example of a smilarly shaped vase, yet decorated with fish and plants, is described and illustrated in Maura Rinaldi, Kraak Porcelain- A Moment in the History of Trade, London, 1989, p. 190, pl. 249. The author mentions varieties in mouthrims and in decorations.
