Lot Essay

Alfredo Pina (1883-1966) studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and in 1906 won the Gran Premio Nazionale for sculpture. He moved to Paris before the First World War, and became a student of Rodin, whose influence is evident in many of his works.
