CASE: Of eared rectangular outshaped cornered by fluted Corinthian columns, the stepped pediment surmounted by a figure of Chronos, cornered by armorial torsos, above a relief-cast dial inset with enamel Roman numeral plaquettes, with a pierced lambrequin-hung apron on tapering stiff-leaf feet, atop a conforming base, the backplate signed LAGARDE à Paris MOVEMENT: twin barrels with anchor escapement, striking the hours and quarters on two bells
