LATE 16TH/17TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY NORTH EUROPEAN
The rectangular moulded top with foliate-carved edge, enclosing a plain interior with lidded compartment, the front carved with biblical scenes, the angles carved with allegorical figures, the foliate-decorated sides each centred by a floral medallion and fitted with shaped wrought iron handles, on bun feet
