DIAL: pierced, engraved and silvered chapter ring, blued steel hands MOVEMENT: pierced plates with seven double-screwed pillars, twin chain fusees, train wheels with five crossings, dead beat anchor escapement, rack strike on gong, half hour passing strike on bell; gridiron pendulum, winding key, replaced velvet-covered and ebonised plinth and glass dome
